The advance mechanism was improved in 57 and later distributors. When recently rebuilding a y block Ford engine, I came across this very nice rebuilt distributor. Features motor craft points and condenser. Should fit any y block.

A lower bushing has been installed and it new gear. The vacuum advance has also been reconditioned. The number is b9af b, which I would assume originally be for a engine.
